Grisedale Beck @ Patterdale
Below is webcam footage of Grisedale Beck (Middle), along with image velocimetry measurements. River level data is acquired using non-contact ultrasonic sensors at three locations in the Beck at distances of approx. 150m apart. This provides information about the catchment hydrology and a detailed understanding of flood-wave propagation. These systems were set up in collaboration with the Patterdale Parish Community Flood Group and Krypton TV.
